Listenwise, a proud partner of NPR, curates a growing collection of professionally produced podcasts, aligned to state standards in ELA, social studies, and science. What We’re Looking For

We have spent the last few years honing our product market fit and creating a repeatable sales model. We are now in a position to apply these lessons at scale. It will be your job to help us build relationships with schools and districts interested in improving student success through listening.

The Role

As a Partnership Development Associate, you are the first point of contact for our clients, responsible for qualifying all inbound opportunities. You will also engage decision makers in thoughtful conversations to drive revenue and improve student outcomes through outbound prospecting. Lastly, you will assist the team in sales operations as needed.

On Any Given Day, You Will
  • Qualify inbound sales leads through discovery calls and emails
  • Engage school and district leaders through tailored prospecting efforts
  • Accurately track sales prospects in CRM software
  • Research initiatives within target school districts in areas like ELA, ELL, and College and Career Readiness
  • Speak with teachers passionate about implementing Listenwise at their schools
  • Generate new sales opportunities and transition relationships over to Account Executives for follow up
  • Plan, execute, and analyze prospecting campaigns
  • Support Account Executives in advancing and winning sales opportunities in their pipeline
  • Contact purchasing departments to locate purchase orders as needed
  • Create price quotes as needed

Account Executive
What We’re Looking For

We have spent the last few years honing our product market fit and creating a repeatable sales model. We are now in a position to apply these lessons at scale. It will be your job to help us accelerate this growth. You will need to embody all of the characteristics of a strong sales person- objection handling, empathy, and grit. Equally important is the way you work with others---collaboration with colleagues and a desire to serve customers is critical.

The Role

As an SMB Account Executive, you will be the first voice that our customers hear, listening to and understanding the needs of teachers and administrators. You will qualify opportunities through phone and email to move them through the funnel yourself or hand them off to the Director of Sales. This is an end to end revenue generating role. You will be responsible for a new business quota.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Qualify all inbound leads from teachers and administrators to understand their needs and educate them about Listenwise
  • You will either take these opportunities through the pipeline for closing or transition these opportunities to the Director of Sales based on account size
  • Closely monitor deadlines and trigger events to ensure timely follow up
  • Participate in outbound prospecting campaigns to develop new opportunities for sales team
  • Deliver accurate revenue forecasts and account notes into CRM
  • Track down purchase orders to ensure the timely closing of all new business
  • Become knowledgeable in market factors (e.g. education policies and literacy competitors) affecting Listenwise sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with all members of the Listenwise team to deliver superior business outcomes, most consistently with marketing and customer success functions
  • Up to 10% travel required

Curriculum Developer
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with passion and energy to be the lead writer and managing editor of content for the Listenwise platform. As lead curriculum writer, you will be responsible for managing the development, production, and publication of current events, lessons, and quizzes with high quality and timely execution. You will be the lead writer and editor of all instructional content and listening assessments, as well as blog posts and professional development materials. You will be responsible for managing a team of freelancers who write many of our lessons and quizzes and editing their work. You will also be responsible for managing relationships with public radio and content partners. You will work primarily with the Listenwise Director of Curriculum and collaborate with other team members on specific projects.

What you’ll do:
  • Curate engaging, academically relevant public radio stories and other podcasts for the Listenwise platform;
  • Write and edit lesson plans, quizzes, blog posts, and other instructional content;
  • Align lessons with curriculum and identify additional content development needs;
  • Manage audio story collection content and track data;
