Kendo is the name of the centuries old martial art of Japanese fencing. It’s still being practiced today. This public radio story describes the popularity of kendo. The college tournament, held annually at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is the largest intercollegiate kendo competition in the U.S., and it reflects the growing popularity of this sport.
