Cranberry Crisis Sparks Innovation

A health scare just before Thanksgiving in 1959 crashed the cranberry industry. The demand for cranberries dropped drastically, causing those in the cranberry business to consider how to expand the market for the tart fruit beyond the Thanksgiving season. There are similarities between this historic event and modern challenges in cranberry trade.
