The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is in trouble. Consumers are spending less money on mail, forcing the USPS to raise its prices to stay in business. At the same time, it is cutting costs by slowing mail delivery, upsetting customers and potentially making them even less likely to use mail service. Farmers and others who live in rural areas depend on the USPS for needed supplies, though. Many people believe post offices can reinvent themselves to better serve Americans today.
